A huge thank you to all the students and teachers who put so much effort into their entries. The standard of work was very high this year, and students showed a great understanding of how waste tyres can be managed sustainably and how recycled tyre rubber can be reused in new and useful ways. We were really impressed by the creativity, ideas and enthusiasm shown by everyone who took part.

Used Tyres become a useful resource for the circular economy and there are many uses for end of life tyres when they are recycled and recovered. In Ireland, over 4 million waste tyres every year are recycled or recovered and managed in an environmentally sound manner on behalf of Circol ELT Members.
