Circol ELT’s compliance scheme works with licensed collectors who are contracted to the scheme. These collectors adhere to stringent scheme requirements for waste management.
Members are free to choose the waste collector that best suits their needs and may use more than one collector.
Collections of waste car and motorcycle tyres are funded though the scheme. All other categories of waste tyres have a reporting requirement ahead of them being also allocated a vEMC.
The Department of Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) have announced that the outstanding categories will be taken into the scheme.
Circol ELT registered collectors only receive payment for waste managed when documentation on the recycling or recovery of tyres has been submitted and processed.
